In today’s age, where we have sequels to horror movies that generally feel lazy, forced, and unoriginal, this is one of the rare moments where the sequel amazingly surpassed the original. This sequel to the 2018 hit “A Quiet Place” expands the story by providing us the answers to the questions we had about the first film in such an intelligent way. Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Millicent Simmonds reprise their roles from the original movie and continue to give great performances, especially Millicent Simmonds, who portrays Blunt’s deaf daughter in the film and is also a deaf person in real life. Cillian Murphy gives an excellent performance as the new main lead that Emily Blunt and her kids come across. John Krasinski returns to direct the sequel with tense moments and scarier scenes that will send chills down your neck. “A Quiet Place Part II” is a suspense horror sequel containing many twists and turns that will leave you “no pun intended” speechless. Thanks to John Krasinski’s excellent direction, great scary moments featuring the monsters, and incredible performances by Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds, and Cillian Murphy, “A Quiet Place Part II” is one of the best horror sequels in recent years. It is one of the rare moments where I believe the sequel is better than the original.
