The sixth entry in the “Jurassic Park” franchise might be a massive improvement over its previous film “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” but that’s not saying much, considering “Jurassic World Dominion” is a boring mess from the beginning to end. Colin Trevorrow runs this franchise into the ground with unnecessary storylines and a story that relies on fan service but in the worst way. The two redeemable things are the special effects are great and good performances from the ensemble consisting of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, DeWanda Wise, Campbell Scott, BD Wong, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill. “Jurassic World Dominion” is an unsatisfying conclusion to the “Jurassic World” trilogy. It is a perfect reminder that just because the visual effects may look unique, you still have to tell an engaging story, and this movie fails to achieve that goal. The film also made me wonder whether “Jurassic Park” was meant to be a franchise, to begin with, considering the sequels couldn’t be as good as the original.
