Will Smith delivers the performance of his career as Richard Williams, the father, and coach of Venus and Serena. Smith embodies the character of Richard Williams by portraying him as an overbearing father but still shows love and support for his family and wants his daughters to achieve massive success and have a bright future while living in Compton during the early 1990s. The other actors who play the other members of the Williams family also give fantastic performances, including Aunjanue Ellis as Oracene "Brandy" Price, Saniyya Sidney as Venus Williams, and Demi Singleton Serena Williams. "King Richard" is a fantastic crowd-pleaser about love, family, and achieving your dreams to become the best in the game of tennis. Thanks to the inspiring and unforgettable story and a fantastic Oscar-caliber performance by Will Smith, "King Richard" is the best sports film since 2011's "Warrior" and Will Smith's best performance since he received his first Oscar nomination for 2001's "Ali."
