The Matrix Resurrections: Keanu Reeves shines in the best Matrix film since the original

Eighteen years have gone by since we last entered the world of the Matrix, and now thanks to Lana Wachowski, we get to return to the cybernetic world once again. Lana Wachowski's direction is visually stunning and allows you to get sucked back into the great environment that all began back in 1999. Keanu Reeves reprises his role as Thomas Anderson, AKA Neo, and gives an astonishing performance showing that he still has the charm that made this character iconic and helped launch Keanu Reeves into a Hollywood superstar. Carrie-Anne Moss also returns to the series as Trinity and gives an excellent performance. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Jonathan Groff take over the roles of Morpheus and Smith from actors Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving. They both give great performances as these two iconic characters. The supporting cast consisting of Jada Pinkett Smith returning as Niobe, Jessica Henwick, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Neil Patrick Harris all give great performances. The only negative in this movie is that the screenplay feels very uneven, and certain scenes go on longer to the point it feels forced. Thanks to Lana Wachowski's superb direction, gorgeous visuals, and incredible performances by Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, and Neil Patrick Harris, "The Matrix Resurrections" is the best Matrix film since the original. Considering the previous two sequels weren't so great, this is the best Matrix sequel.
