The latest animated film from DreamWorks Animation is not only the best-animated film of the year, but it’s also the best DreamWorks film since “How to Train Your Dragon.” The animation looks fantastic, the story is relatable to kids and adults, and its themes of family and friendship are emotional and inspiring. Lupita Nyong’o delivers a tremendous performance as the title robot who learns how to adjust to the world around her while learning about friendship and family. The film contains great performances from its supporting cast, which includes Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Mark Hamill, Matt Berry, and Ving Rhames. Thanks to its incredible animation, powerful themes, and an excellent performance from Lupita Nyong’o, “The Wild Robot” is a beautiful film that deserves to be considered as one of the best films from DreamWorks Animation, earning its place with the other top films to come from the company, which includes “Shrek,” “Kung Fu Panda,” and “How to Train Your Dragon.”
