Venom: The Last Dance: A fun third film thanks to Tom Hardy's performance

Corey Quinto

The fifth film in Sony’s Marvel Universe closes out the Venom trilogy on a fun, high note despite having a screenplay that doesn’t make a ton of sense. Director Kelly Marcel’s latest film has many problems with its storytelling and pacing. Still, its visual effects and action sequences are enough to give the audience a good time at the movie. Tom Hardy delivers another excellent performance as Eddie Brock, AKA Venom, and once again has great chemistry with the symbiote, which has been the best part of the Venom trilogy. The film contains a good supporting cast who, despite not being given a lot of good material to work with, provide decent performances in the movie, which includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, and Stephen Graham. “Venom: The Last Dance” might not be the best Marvel film, but just like its predecessors, it has enough action to keep you entertained for two hours, thanks to its visual effects and an outstanding leading performance by Tom Hardy.
